War Games

We had a quiet morning.  The boys went to church, while I pottered at home doing a few chores.  I couldn’t quite find the motivation to go for a run.

Once the boys were back home and BB had done his cello practice, we headed to the Museum of Flight to the Wartime Experience day.  BB is studying World War II at school, and was keen to go.  Although the weather brightened up, it was freezing.  We wandered round the encampments, but were very happy to go into the hangers  to get warmed up.  We watched couple of displays of military tactics, and were very lucky to have a good view from the warmth of the café for the WWII display!

We bumped into one of BB’s classmates and we spent the rest of the afternoon with them.

Once home, there was reading to be done (BB), grass to be cut (TT) and tea to be made (me).  After all that I headed out for a walk in the evening sunshine – possibly the best part of the day.

This display seemed to be a cross between Blackadder and Dad’s Army!
