Domestic Duties

This time last week we were in Madrid, towards the end of a terrific break in Spain, well away from the Costas.

So much has happened in a week, and of course the events in Manchester have overshadowed everything else.

So in some ways it has been good to focus on home. There is so much to do. and in particular we need to sort our small garden out.

Our neighbour, who loves her small plot and spends a lot of time tending it, has given us quite a few cuttings. We have been cleaning out pots and getting compost ready to plant.

This orange specimen (I will need to check with her what it is) was given to us last late summer as a small plant. It has grown and has flowered throughout the winter. And it is still flowering. Barbara is helping out a local school who are hoping to exhibit at the Tatton Flower show. On this evidence, they are in good hands.
