Uig sands from above

One of our fellow guests at Baile-na-Cille is aerial film-maker and photographer Richard Elliott. This evening when I was admiring the superb photographs of the bay that he took last night and this morning, he suggested that I might like to have a go at using his equipment after dinner.

This is one of the shots that I took. Given that it was after 9pm and the cloud was quite low, I am quite pleased with colours of the bay that have been captured in my blip.

Earlier in the day Mr hazelh took the tandem around the Bhaltos peninsula with a stop off for a walk on Reef Beach and the secret beaches. Then we took our host out for lunch at the community café (where we also bumped into Richard the film-maker). Later in the day we lounged around the house and garden and enjoyed the afternoon sunshine: see the extras of the house with the most scenic tennis court in Britain, and Simon Hook’s cottage across the bay with the tide in.

Exercise today: 12 mile cycle ride, and 2 mile walk.
