An ordinary life....

The Came. They Saw...

They caused havoc and they left.

But not before making me howl with laughter and rejoice that Blip brought these slightly unhinged and that's putting it politely amazing women into my life.

I won't go into detail as to how the day went (you really had to be there) but it involved poo heads, regional accents, teefs, controlled flatluence (a skill!) appearing and disappearing sunlit spots and a blow-up swan.   An everyday story of an everyday visit from Withers really :-))

Alan welcomed his pal LeeAnne with smiles, especially when she produced the latest "tasteful" lady poster she'd brought for his bedroom wall.  It definitely met with his approval.  Paula astounded him with her beauty and turned him all shy.   Withers merely confused him.  He had his "is she for real?" face on and made her work hard to gain his approval.  Infact he smiled at her for the first time when she said she was leaving!  Sadly she was only joking and he had to put up with her for a few hours more.  Think you've met your match there Jane!   :-))

David, who escaped for the afternoon on the pretext of looking at cars (found out later he'd also been to the golf driving range :D) joined us for dinner.  In fact so engrossed was I with my guests, it was left to him to finish cooking the dinner and serve it up otherwise we may not have been fed!  He's a good 'un.

And all too soon our day of laughter and mayhem was over.

This is the second year in a row Withers and Paula have visited and they're threatening to make it an annual occurrence.   I'm thinking Witness Protection might be the way to go!

Seriously my lovely Withers, Paula and LeeAnne, it was fantastic seeing you and I had a blast, as ever, in your unique company.  Thank you for my lovely gifts and enjoy Peebles and the homemade tablet.  See you soon!  :D
