REFRESHMENT IN THE WESER

A special day it was today. The weather perfect for our first boat trip on the river Weser.
We had thought it over and had decided to start early, because we wanted to avoid too much strong heath. And so we started cycling to Wahmbeck and Bodenfelde. A nice cycle path, the first part in the forest, later through the fields. In Bodenfelde we would have a swim in the outdoor swimmingpool. But when we arrived there, it was still closed and opened at one o'clock. That's why we cycled further to Lippoldsberg, where we sat in the park in the shade and ate our sandwich. Then back to Bodenfelde for our swim.
It is a big swimmingpool, lots of happy youth jumping from the divingboards. Time went quickly there and at three we departed from there to catch the boat Hessen that brought us to Karlshafen.
The Hessen is a very pretty boat, is glides wonderfully slowly on the water. We sat outside at the front and enjoyed the trip enormously.
It was so relaxing to see the beautiful landscape, the gorgeous green forests and fields. Near Wahmbeck we saw the aurochs cattle standing in the water searching refreshment on this hot day.
Aurochs, Bos taurus primigenius, an extinct kind of cattle that is rebred and can be seen at several places in our surroundings,
When we arrived in our hometown, we only had to cycle home, a steep climb.
I show two extra photos, one of a poppy field, and one of Piet Hein on board.

I have given my last hearts for sillies to lisabet, jeanneb53, nangee, theBroon and RedDevil.
