A 'Special' Gift

Well, who'd have thought it, 2000 Blips.  Imagine my surprise when a parcel was delivered this morning, containing a 'special' gift from the Nokin Camera Company.  I assume they were aware of this milestone and knowing I was left-eyed had produced a limited edition camera.  For any other people afflicted by this condition, where the focus point has an annoying habit of moving around the frame as their noses press on the multi function dial, this really is an answer to our prayers.

Ok, A little bit of fun with Photoshop, but I hope you will indulge me while I bemoan the lot of the left-eyed photographer.

So, 2000 Blips.  I imagine for people in a similar position today (it's likely we will have all started on 1st January 2012), I doubt if any of us thought we would still be publishing a daily photograph almost 5 and a half years later.  That we are is testament to the original idea of Joe Tree, who created this site and nurtured it through its formative years.  We are also indebted to the community itself, who make this such a special place and, when times were tough, banded together to form a company and buy the site.

I wish you all well and thank you for your friendships.  I have had the pleasure of meeting some of you over the last five or so years and without exception I am richer for the experience.  Best wishes for whatever future beckons, and see you tomorrow for Blip 2001.
