Ladybirds

Finishing off down at the allotment I noticed a red ladybird on a parsnip leaf. Closer inspection showed an intimate scene with an orange ladybird. They were a slow moving couple which made it easier to try to get a decent shot but the leaves would not stay still. This was the best of many shots. I thought this was unusual in that it appears to be two different species of ladybird here. Anyone shed any light?

The usual Saturday, but good for all of that. Long walk into town this morning, a late lunch, down to the allotment all rounded off by dinner of torn boiled smoked ham, new potatoes, beetroot, lettuce and herbs in a dressing of yoghurt and horseradish with green beans, most of the vegetables coming from the allotment. Enjoyed a bottle of fizz and nibbles which we didn't have on my birthday last Sunday.
