FLATWARE

Usual trip to Morrisons this morning.  Just pottered around for the rest of the day.  Did a lot of ironing whilst catching up on some TV viewing.

The weather was nice this morning but this afternoon and evening we have had constant rain.  Its really warm though and a bit muggy.

The "August Photo Challenge " theme for today is FLAT.

FLATWARE -  utensils such as knives, forks, and spoons used at the table for serving and eating food.  Also dishes or containers for the table that are more or less flat such as plates and saucers.

So here are two items of flatware.  The plate belonged to my Grandma. Its bone china with a cornflower pattern.  The knife appears to be " stolen property " as its stamped G.N.E.R. - Great North Eastern Railway.  This company operated the Inter City East Coast rail  franchise from April 1996 until December 2007. No idea how that knife ended up here. ( I swear I didn't take it  )

Just glanced into the back garden as the cats were making a bit of a fuss - and I saw a fox.  Didn't have much of a chance to get a shot - and had to take one through the kitchen window.  I have put the photo in Extras. The fox is a regular visitor but it usually comes when its dark.  The cats may make a fuss but they aren't frightened of it.
