An ordinary life....

Let the Fun BeGIN...

Gin Craft Club delivered our quarterly gift today.

This month it's a Finnish rye gin made in an old dairy in Isokyrö, Finland.  It's the world’s northern most gin and whisky distillery producing the finest single malt rye whisky and rye gin.  The guide says to garnish with cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.  Didn't have either of those in stock, so just had one with the accompanying mixer and very lovely it was.

David and I had an absolutely lovely evening at Gleneagles last night.  The food was amazing and the service attentive but unobtrusive.

Afterwards we popped into the Century bar to have a nightcap whilst we waited for our taxi.  As we awaited our drinks, David mused that we should pop up to the Century Bar more often and enjoy a G&T.  That was until the drinks arrived and he realised two gins cost £24!  Hahahahaha....I wish I''d managed to get a snap of his face.  Instead I took a photo of said drinks (see extra :-) as I suspect it will be along time before I'm back there for another!

Today, for the most part, has been wet and rainy.  We braved it this afternoon and went to Marie's Little Cake shop on the High Street and ordered Alan's 21st birthday cake.  The shop is owned by Marie who is an ex-GBBO contestant so I am hoping sure it will be good.

Been continuing our learning curve in preparation for the forthcoming new addition to the family and been investigating Veterinary practices.  Had a eureka moment when I remembered someone who lives very close to us is a Puppy Parent for an organisation that trains and provides Therapy dogs to those who need them.  Got in touch with her and now have her vet recommendation and an offer of help with training and socialising our little pup.
