The Summer of Love

For the first time since moving here we finally went to Brighton Pride today, and what an amazing parade it was!

Vanessa came to stay for the weekend, as she's never been before, and Ray (aka Mr W) met us too, but sadly HeartFreek couldn't join us as she had to work.  It was a sunny morning, so we drove to the marina and parked the car there and then proceeded to walk the 2 miles or so to the i360 where we decided to watch the parade.

We had a good spec right at the side of the road and at times I almost felt like we were in the parade.  It was a great spot for taking photos and I knew I'd taken a lot, but was surprised to see I'd taken over 500!

After the parade we went for a drink at the beach and shared a pizza between the four of us, before setting off the 2 mile walk back to the car at which point the weather changed and we got caught in a very heavy shower!  When we got home though, it looked like the rain had missed us, so we sat in the garden with prosecco and nibbles, until we saw another very black storm cloud coming our way.  We quickly put all the cushions inside and retreated into the Palace just in time!   Then tonight, Vanessa and I went into Rottingdean for a Thai meal and there was the most amazing sunset - I've added some shots of our changing sky in my extras.

It's been a really enjoyable day, hope you're having a good weekend too!
