The accidental finding

Feathered friends at Tile Trader

We had our visitors today, and they had a lot of laundry to do, but when that was all on the line, we took them to the 17th century Stonehouse Court hotel, over looking the restored canal, for tea on the terrace. Very pleasant it was, too! I'm just looking for an excuse to hire the venue....

Then, as a Cultural Blip Point of Interest (CBPOI) I decided to accompany them to a place not on the tourist map: Tile Trader of Ryeford, between Stroud and Stonehouse. This is so much more than a tile centre, because it also houses several vintage cars, and the owner's collection of American slot machines, enamel signs, framed photographs, and free range chickens of many types!

This handsome fellow agreed to pose for me. If you are on the Stroud area and you like tiles, ephemera, or particular chickens, then this is THE place to go!
