Dew Be-Dabbled Lattice

I spotted this latticed heath moth motionless and covered with dewdrops, clinging to a blade of grass, fairly early this morning. I took some pics and waited quite a while until the sun came round and the breeze had nearly dried its wings out. It was lovely to see it flutter into life.

Today's poem is Invocation by Siegfried Sassoon. http://www.bartleby.com/136/30.html

SS made a resolution in 1917 to "write happy poems". This was written whilst on leave from from the Front. His 'whispering trees' and 'silence hung with green' have been my balm today.
