NEWCASTLE UNITED v LIVERPOOL

I went to the match this afternoon. 4.30pm kick off.  Newcastle were playing Liverpool - a club which our Manager Rafa Benitez used to manage between  2004 and 2010.   There was a great atmosphere.  Lots of noise  - and before kick off lots of flags in the Gallowgate End.  There was also this banner....... I used Google to translate it and it reads:~

ALWAYS WE WILL SUPPORT YOU,  NEVER WILL WE DOUBT YOU,  WE'RE WITH YOU.


Newcastle did well to get a 1 - 1 draw. 


Straight for the bus after the match.  It was full to bursting.  Got home around 7.15pm - ready for my tea.

I assumed Neil would have listened to the match on local radio - but No --- he had been watching American Football on TV. !!!

We had heavy rain this morning but later on it was fine and dry - just a bit windy.
