Winter Reflections

BB’s plans didn’t quite go as he had described to us last night.  First of all he tried to get up at 5am – but was sent back to bed.  TT left for work at a very early hour, and I was just thinking of getting up when I heard BB going downstairs.  I decided to give him some time to see what he achieved.  Fifteen minutes later I found him on the sofa, wrapped up in a blanket, while watching TV.  He wasn’t dressed, breakfasted and was far from being ready for school.  His excuse – he couldn’t find the rice crispies.  That is because they were finished!  I provided him with alternative cereal options and he eventually did all he was going to do and scooted off to school and was there in good time.

I went for a run – the same seven mile route as last Sunday.  It was cold and windy, so I had to look out my running gloves, but thankfully I wasn’t too cold once I got going.

BB was home very sharp from school – he must have really zoomed up the hill on his scooter. Later we took a long walk to the library, going along by the river.  It was then home to cook tea, feed BB  and get him back out to scouts.

While catching up with a programme on the iPlayer, I realised I had forgotten about my donation for the Scout Christmas Fayre, so I had to rush off to the supermarket for a few things, then I went to pick BB up and hand the stuff in.

The son of one of BB’s teachers is to be on Children in Need later on – but I am not sure I will be able to stay awake.

These late afternoon reflections are just above the weir.
