December Poppy

A quiet day all round.  BB went bowling in Edinburgh with his football team.  TT was his taxi.  He had a great time and got fed as well – so was doubly delighted.  I did a few chores and bits of admin and eventually late morning went for a walk before the boys returned.

After lunch we all walked into town and did a few bits of shopping, stopping off in a café for some refreshments.  I had a fruit scone – which was nice, but the fruit was not to be found in abundance.  BB thoroughly enjoyed his hot chocolate.

Once we were back home in the warm, TT cooked a lovely tea, BB played a computer a game, and I tried to  decide which book to read next.

I spotted this poppy which had just burst into bloom today – quite unseasonal, especially as it was frosty underfoot (extra).
