Wild Shadows

Had a fairly quiet day today.  Got up late - but still felt tired.  Did a few household chores and then sent off a couple of e mails to friends and also wrote a letter to my brother Colin to put inside his Christmas card.  Hopefully he will get in contact soon.

This evening I went to visit my brother John and sister in law Virginia.  Had a lovely time. Virginia always sets out a table with tasty nibbles and tonight's offerings were extra nice - venison sausages, hot smoked trout, prawns, chicken, olives, hummus, cheese, crisps and salad. We had a good catch up of each others news.

John brought me home around midnight.  It was the first time he had driven their new car - a Qashqai  They got it on Monday and on Tuesday it was involved in an accident.  The car had stalled while Virginia was driving ( the car has an automatic handbrake which Virginia wasn't yet used to ) and the guy behind drove into the back of her and damaged the bumper.  Before numbers etc could be exchanged he drove off. Rotter.  At least the car isn't badly damaged and the insurance company will hopefully sort everything out in due course.

I liked the shadows thrown by this large tree and I did a bit of processing to enhance the " wildness " of it.  Thanks to Cailleach for hosting the challenge.
