Life through my eyes

A new gang!

I have a fondness for Tatty Teddy and the Santa stop here is a few year's old.  We went to The Mall today as I needed to take a pair of boots back as they were 6 weeks old and they were cracking.  I ended up swapping them for a better pair that were now in the sale.

We had expected it to be busy but it seemed about the same as a typical Saturday, with the exception of the M&S food hall, where some trolleys were full to capacity and more!

There were some sales on already and I went into Clintons to get a birthday card for Mum, and somehow two Tatty Teddies that were in the sale came out with me.  How could Santa not visit now with those three ready and waiting!

Even the police were getting festive.  They have been there ever since the Manchester attack in May, although then they were armed.  Now they make an effort to show a friendly approach and it is reassuring to see them.

When we were in Jessops one of the staff said hello, and it was one of the lifeguards that used to work at the pool.  We chatted to him for a while, and he said he might be back in the New Year as a customer this time.  That would be good as at one time we were considering being training buddies.

Then we got the bus back home, and it was the same driver from this morning, and he was still cheerful.  He had told us this morning that he thought he had been stitched up and given overtime without being asked, and a 10 hour shift today.  He had found out at the start of the day that as he was working until just after 18:00 he had double pay!

Feet up and being rested now.  It is a bit sore but not as bad as it would have been without it.
