Amwell Kite

There were two sheep on the front lawn when I got up. I  readied myself quickly and rushed out with the camera but they had gone. I phoned the farmer and he had two missing. He came over and we went searching for them all over our property. Then I spotted them in The Donkey Field, they'd taken themselves back home.

My daughter and granddog came for a cup of tea and a chat. We had a nice walk and Frankie loved sniffing the sheep droppings. After some admin I took the bottles to the bank in the village and continued to Amwell Nature Reserve. I shot this red kite soon after I arrived. It was the second of the day as we saw one when we were shepherding.

Today's poem is Burning Roses by Patti Smith. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/we-could-be-poets-just-for-one-day-1327793.html
