Littleheath Pond

This morning Gavin and I had a wonderful breakfast with all the fruit that I had bought for yesterday's breakfast that did not happen - then as Thomas was at school all day rehearsing for the concert, we decided to try a new walk. I had discovered a walk that links up our old village to where we currently live so we set off to do it with Murdoch. It was lovely and fortunately was muddy in only a few places. On the way we passed Littleheath Pond, which I had previously seen on a map but never knew how to access. It is a rather large body of water and apparently very deep, with warning signs saying to keep dogs on the lead as dogs have drowned there before. We ended our walk at a pub and decided to have lunch there - being a dog friendly pub it was no problem having Murdoch with us, and we had the most delicious roast dinner.

Thomas has had music rehearsals all day for the concert that is taking place at Cadogan Hall on Friday. It is a celebration of the school's music and old boys have been invited to come back to participate - Adam will be coming to sing in the choir. Thomas is in the choir, the symphony orchestra, the jazz band and the musical Chess band, so he will be very busy on the night!

Poor Adam is in his final training week to qualify for the blues team for power lifting at university,  and last night at training he got injured - he said he heard his back pop - it sounds awful. He is in agony now and I felt like getting in the car to drive up to see him but there is not much I can do - he must go to the doctor tomorrow. Sadly he is out of the competition now.
