FOR ALL BLIP CAT LOVERS

When we got up, it was a beautiful sunny day, so we quickly had a shower and decided that we would go for a walk to keep our steps up - and in fact, we did almost 8,000.  It was a good job we had wrapped up well, because the wind was icy, but we soon got into our stride and we were quite warm.

We have a favourite walk that takes in some of the countryside near us and then comes back via a new housing estate, so I took various photographs along the way.

There was a lot of controversy when this housing estate was built as it encroached on land close to a nearby nature reserve, but I guess with all these new developments, we have to accept them when plans are passed and it’s actually not that bad, but as Mr. HCB says, if they carry on building then it could have an adverse effect on the wildlife around, which would be sad.

We saw lots of birds and squirrels, but these two little cats caught my eye - sitting in the sunshine, one on the doormat and the other on the windowsill of the same house - they could be siblings as they do look quite alike, but they didn’t move or even blink an eye when I stood and took their photograph.

Many of you will know that Mr. HCB is not keen on cats, particularly when they come into his garden, but the two cats here are far enough away from us not to be a nuisance, so these are for all you cat lovers out there.
