Sea Cliffs

A lazy day of peace!  After a morning of not really doing anything we headed down  the coast to St Abbs , and had a lovely walk in the sunshine out to St Abbs head and the lighthouse. We spotted a man fishing at the bottom of the cliffs under the lighthouse.  We have no idea how he got down there or how he was going to get back up – I guess that might be extreme fishing.  As we walked back towards St Abbs we encountered two tents and their inhabitants – I guess that might be extreme camping.  We walked back to the village and to a café for a  well-earned snack to keep us  going.  We were going to extend out walk to Coldingham, but as it was getting late, we decided not to as we didn’t fancy walking back in the dark.  Instead we wandered round by the harbour and village, before we headed back home.

Later we went out for a drink and a meal – and had a very nice meal and a lovely evening.

Here are the spectacular cliffs looking north from Pettico Wick.
