Ray of sunshine

Bitterly cold for our walk on the Common this morning, and the paths were covered in treacherous ice! But it was a beautiful morning and, as we arrived at 10.00am, the sun was just coming up over the hill and catching the trees by the path.

Have done very little today, apart from sorting a little paperwork and cooking an evening meal. We have an overnight guest - Steve, a young man we met at the Scots Fiddle Festival back in November. He's brought his mandolin for some minor repairs, and he and MrM have gone to a local music session this evening. Tomorrow MrM will work on the mandolin while S goes walking, and they'll go to another session in the evening before S returns to Edinburgh. Maybe I'll go with them...
