Pre-Mono Monday ....

As I mentioned on my Thursday MM results blip (and on the activities page regarding all the February themes) this coming Mono-Monday's theme is Silhouette.  This is NOT the same as a shadow, which has been used before for MM.

The definition of a silhouette is as follows:

Silhouette ~ sil-oo-et (noun)
1. the outline or general shape of something.
2. a dark image outlined against a brighter background.

As opposed to the definition of a shadow:

Shadow ~ Shad-oh (noun)
1. a dark figure or image cast on the ground or some other surface by a body intercepting light.

For a silhouette the light source would (or should) be in front of the camera ... you would be looking into the light or sun. Or in other words ... your subject matter should be between you and the light source.  For a shadow the light source would most likely be behind you.

I have blipped silhouettes twice before if you would like to see.  And please Google Silhouette if you need any inspiration or additional help .... it's okay!  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.  Please tag your entries MM212 or MonoMonday212 so that I can find them.  These are the only two tags I will look for.

And please, please have fun!!
