Another brilliant photographer

Tonight was the meeting of the Tynedale Photo Group and our speaker was Tony Griffiths from  Durham Photographic Club.

I know Tony because we are both in the RPS North Documentary Group. I've seen some of his work, but it was a real treat tonight to see a large number of images and hear him talk about the things that interest him.

We saw images from a project where a small group of photographers have been out meeting crafts' people in the region. Tony had some terrific images and stories to tell.

He has photographed demonstrations for years, sometimes being rather dangerously in the thick of it. The expressions of anger and hatred on some faces were disturbing.

Then there were the Fosters' beer cans that seem to haunt his life........

Well done Tony. It was an entertaining and inspiring evening.

(I saw the orthopaedic surgeon this morning about Freddy. He thinks that I do have a rotator cuff tear after all, but an MRI scan will give the diagnosis. Thankfully Freddy has been very calm since I developed 'flu and could do very little.)
