An ordinary life....

Faffs with Daffs...

First day of British Summer Time.  I am an eternal optimist :-))

We had a lovely night out with Agnes and Adrian and were enjoying a night cap when our phones jumped from 1am to 2am and we remembered about the lost hour and we scarpered to our beds!

A leisurely brunch this morning then Agnes and I chatted whilst David and Adrian searched our loft for bits and bobs of furniture that might be of use to their daughter (our god-daughter) Emily when she moves into her first flat next week.  It's part furnished but she won't know till she gets the keys what that means exactly.  Sofas, table and chairs or a bean bag?!

Lola proved once again how much she loves everyone by being very affectionate with them both (pics in extras)  They lost Scamp, their 16 year old rescue dog last summer so they love the attention from Lola.  Just as well as poor Adrian was licked and snuggled into constantly!

After Agnes and Adrain had left, we had planned to go out for a while and enjoy the sunshine on this official first day of British summer time, but Alan has been out of sorts for a couple of days since having his feeding peg changed to a new one.  We got a shock when David removed the old one (it gets changed every six months) as the end that had been in his tummy was full of green gunk!  We spoke to the dietician and the district nurse who were a bit non-plussed by it, but he had a slight temperature this morning and has been gagging a lot.  Also grinding his teeth, which is generally an indicator of pain.  In the end we phoned NHS24 and they have arranged for a doctor to visit some time today.  I think he might need some amoxicillin but we need to get to the bottom of the cause.

Thankfully he's his usual cheerful self so can't be too bad.

Just realised the time.  Better start dinner!  This extra daylight has confused me and I think it's much earlier than it is.  Of course it's a dead cert that the Doc will arrive just as we sit down to eat :-))

PS Thank you so much for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts on yesterday's Mono Lola :-)) x
