Marjorie's ramblings

Out of step

I always hope to take part in challenges, but I often find that my subject matter just does not suit the challenge of the day. I rarely use a wide angle lens on a Wednesday when I go walking. I like mono images, but they do not often work on Mondays, etc., etc!

Today is an example. We have chocolate in the house and the Mono Monday Challenge is Chocolate. This image looks hopeless in mono, however I worked on the colour balance. So, you have chocolate eggs - in colour!

Yes, it snowed again. Wet, sleety snow that went on all day but did not lie here, just on the high ground.

Julie came over for lunch. We admired her Harris tweed jacket that has been modified a number of times in the making.

After lunch we tried out my new set of Mexican Train. The instructions seemed to miss some important points, or my comprehension was poor. We ended up having two rounds and realising that we were using a number of house rules rather than the "proper" rules.

Does anyone else play it?

I'm spending some time on Lewis in June with hazelh and Mrhazelh. They will bring Catan which they adore and I thought I needed something to challenge them!

It's been Quizzy Night. Spoiler alert.......

Well done Newcastle. They are a very strong team with an excellent chairman. The medical student who wrongly diagnosed ventricular fibrillation is likely to be teased about that for a long time to come........ but she was very good on all sorts of subjects.

I expect the weather will improve next week when the children go back to school.

PS The backdrop for my image is the fleece that Daisy lies on every day. She was quite miffed when I borrowed it. I also had to make sure that no white hairs spoiled the final result!! This is also a focus stack of 6 images.
