Marjorie's ramblings

Lois, Erin and Zara

We usually see these three young ladies once a year, but there has been a two year gap this time. Their grandparents, Lynn and Stephen, brought them today, all the way from West Yorkshire.

They phoned to say they were on the journey and were a bit earlier than in the past. I zoomed up into the loft to bring down a few extra toys. Then the doorbell went and it was the domiciliary podiatrist for Mum. We were not expecting her. It turned out that when Mum took a phone call yesterday, she thought it was from someone who was going to check the height of her new walker - her "seat" - but it was the podiatrist arranging to deal with her "feet"!!

Annette was here, doing our cleaning (wonderful woman that she is) and she flew out of the front door just 10 minutes before our visitors came, leaving the house looking wonderfully spick and span. Phew!

We all enjoyed lunch and some games. Erin and Zara did a few dance routines for us. Lois showed us a video of her golf strokes.

Then I took a few photos. Erin hates having her photo taken but was persuaded to join in with her sisters. I don't think she looks traumatised by the experience.

The catkins, of course, hid all day. Just after the family left, Liz arrived. It was lovely to see her and have a good catch up. Oscar and Daisy did not venture out until there were no unfamiliar voices in the house.

I may sleep well tonight!
