December in York

While I spent the day on prison business Susan spent a very wet day in York. Such a dreary day that it was more like December, seemed like it was getting dark at 4.00pm and even more so with this carousel where the Christmas market was being held last time I was here.

All the plans worked well, I dropped off the hire car in time to meet Susan outside the Minster. An early tea was called for with Drakes fish and chip shop in Low Petergate our destination. Good plateful and a warming cups of tea.

Time to then to catch the 18.02 back to Kings Cross which was inevitably delayed, this time by signalling problems at Stevenage thereby scuppering plans to scuttle across London to catch an earlier train back to Kent.
