Long Meg and a few other folk!

Actually this is one of her Daughters  and three blippers. Me, Paula (PaulaJ) and Gordon (Highpike)

I'm sure they will be familiar to some of you and they made our journey north today most pleasant by meeting us for lunch at the Mill, Little Salkeld, very close to their home.

It is not our first blipmeet and actually Gordon and I used to work in the same school but we have renewed our friendship through blip. They visit such interesting places so it was good to meet them at one of them.
Just along the road from the Mill is this ancient stone circle of Long Meg and her Daughters. Definitely worth it too as the stones  are very extensive but unfortunately by then it was very windy as you can see, so a quick blip and then we continued our journey.
Lots of lovely winding Lanes and attractive North Cumbrian Villages.

We are now over the border and spending the night in Dumfries and Galloway. Having a drink and waiting for dinner.

A great start to the holiday and thank you very much Paula  and Gordon for meeting us so soon after your return from London. Hope to see you again soon.
