Marjorie's ramblings

Sublime

It's been a much needed quiet day at home today.

Daisy continues to demand attention (and her favourite food) whilst Oscar is still hiding resting in the back of the wardrobe. He has eaten and is limping only some of the time.

The other Marjorie came this afternoon. We love her company. She had been to 4 talks in the Hexham Book Festival. She regaled us with the highlights, including A C Grayling's three main points and some of the asides. What a memory! She had heard Michael Pennington on King Lear, Nick Hunt on "Where the Wild Winds are" and Richard Holloway "Waiting for the Last Bus". We felt as though we had been there!

While the meal cooked, I enjoyed the last rays of sun in the garden. The apple blossom is at its best right now.
