Life's Little Moments

You said what now?

You didn't say "vet", did you?  No, I can't possibly have heard that right.  Wait a minute...why are both of you approaching me with those syrupy sweet voices.  And did I hear 'crate?"  You said what now?

Poor Charlie.  His suspicions were aroused when Hubs brought his crate up from the basement earlier today.  But, with several hours of snoozing, he was almost lulled into thinking he was king of his domain...until...it happened.  Yep, took two of us to chase him down and Hubs to jam him in the crate.  The two of them are at the vet now, waiting for what should be a simple blood draw.  Charlie needs to have his teeth cleaned (because he refuses to chew his food, preferring to swallow it whole) and blood work is required before anesthesia (which one needs when cleaning a cat's teeth).

Me, a long morning walk and ran into a couple of people I knew on the trail.  We chatted for a bit about butterflies, moths and others things in the natural world.

Hubs, a bike ride.  Which started with him seeing an enormous and fabulous Luna Moth on the backdoor (he snapped a shot and texted it to me, saying he was leaving home...forever.)  Then, partway into his bike ride, on a deserted, wooded road, he encountered a bobcat.  Lucky man.  A luna moth and a bobcat all in one morning!  Of course, he's determined to lock himself in the house now and never leave.  A bobcat...seriously.  I am so stinkin' jealous. I am putting the iPhone image of the moth that Hubs took - it was on our back door.

Thunderstorms moving in, so going to shut down my computer.
