Finding Nemo

Apparently Miss E doesn't have enough soft toys so imagine her delight when she won this small, unobtrusive addition to the collection this afternoon!!
It was the fete at the school across the road from us which we go to every year. It's small but brilliant!!
Morris Dancers, a crockery smash, a tombola, a real life unicorn (See extras!), bouncy castles, burgers, Zorbing, cake, plants, books and bric-a-brac, a painted rock tombola, and the Finding Nemo stall where you had to put your name and telephone number in one of the hundred marked squares where you thought Nemo was hidden.
Imagine our surprise at 4pm when my phone rang and Miss E had won the bloody thing!!! She was giddy, pogo sticking back the school to pick it up!
I heard her introducing him to all the other toys which I thought was very sweet.
We had a few hours out in the garden for the rest of the evening. It was looking awful and we never seem to be at home to do anything about it!
It's amazing what a difference such a little bit of effort makes. I did lots of chopping back and pulling up of weeds; with a kitchen knife I got rid of all the weeds and grass from between the bricks on the patio; I took dead things out of pots, and put live things in new pots!!
Mr K mowed the lawn and reseeded the mud patch in the middle which has been under the trampoline for nine months. It's mostly been a quagmire but now looks like a parched African mud flat!
What a difference!!
My mum and dad popped round this morning while Mr K and the Little Misses were at swimming and Harris + Hoole.
Beautiful Maisie sadly died on Wednesday and they'd taken her to the pet crematorium in Nash. They had a cup of tea with me in the garden before going to collect her ashes. Its so sad to think she's gone, she was a lovely dog!
But it was definitely time to say goodbye.
Sleep tight Maisie May x
