Mallard

It's rained for most of the day but as everyone knows rain is lovely weather for ducks.  This one like many others seems to have a twinkle in his eye and didn't seem to mind the dampness of the weather.  

We had lunch with a friend to celebrate his imminent retirement, he's looking forward to it and scrupulously planning exactly how he'll fill the time - I think travelling to new and far flung places will be top of his list.
