PINKTOBER 22 - CLASHING PINKS

I was up quite early this morning - well early for me - as Julia, a very old friend of long-standing is coming for coffee at 10.30.  It will be good to see her to catch up - but sadly I can’t do any cleaning before she comes, as my Dyson cleaner, only purchased in April of this year, has decided it wants to keep flashing at me - and won’t switch on!  I’m sure Julia won’t mind that the house doesn't look spotless - and if I don't mention it, perhaps she won’t even notice - just hope she doesn't read my Blip before she comes!

Anyway, wanted a quick Blip as we will have to take the cleaner back to John Lewis this afternoon, so decided after I had had my shower that I would paint my toenails with the Flamingo Pink nail polish I bought last week.  This is definitely NOT my colour, but for the good of the cause, I bought it.  Earlier in the summer I bought some new flip flops and you can see they are a sort of luminous pink - which I thought were quite trendy!  I haven’t dressed yet after my shower, so you can see my pink robe and behind my feet is one of the deep pink boards (I know it looks red, but that was the light - it is deep pink) we brought back from Marlborough on Friday - so a Blip of Clashing Pinks.  I thought a pink cushion would be a pink too far!

It looks as if it will be a glorious day again - Julia is a very keen gardener, so I know will want to go and look at Mr. HCB’s handiwork in the garden and I am sure if she has any spare plants, they might even find their way into our newly dug border in the Spring.

“Cancer cannot defeat you…..
     it only makes you stronger
Though the battle be tough…..
     hope is on your side
When there is hope…..
     anything can be endured
And then comes the day
     when hope prevails.”

P.S.  Thank you for your kind comments and stars for yesterday’s Blip - all of which are much appreciated.
