Autumn Grebe

Thanks to blip I know that I bought my Gumleaf wellingtons around 25th October 2015. I wore them for the first time when I walked "the most perilous byway in England". https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2104715989747762448

I don't know whether those boots were made for walking but I've clocked up countless miles and the soles are wearing thin. I can feel stones through them, the tread has been worn away, making the going slippery. I went to the farm shop where I bought them this morning and they're getting another pair in for me. Ollie was a great hit with the guy who served us, he used to have a much-loved GSD on his farm.

After lunch we walked from Hooks Marsh to Hall Marsh Scrape. Nothing much of interest there, other than a heron and some gulls. Ollie was very taken with Molly, a gorgeous, nine-month-old Briard. And yes, dogs can definitely look up. Ollie is brilliant at spotting squirrels in the branches.

This great crested grebe was fishing at Hooks Marsh. The light was a bit rubbish but I like the oak leaves and their reflection.
