SKELETAL CAT ON SILLY SATURDAY

Let this be a lesson to any cats who come into our garden - they will NOT be fed!!

Our lovely neighbour, Lynn - she of the "18 jigsaw puzzles gift" was decluttering again and asked if we would like this skinny skeletal cat to put in our garden to try and frighten away the various cats who like to use Mr. HCB’s raised beds as litter trays.  How could we refuse?

It was duly placed in the garden to do its scary work, but was blown over in the high winds last week, so today, I stood it on top of the pile of logs so that it can now look menacingly over the various beds.

Mr. HCB has brought the Christmas tree downstairs - and of course, having left the lights on it and taken it upstairs in January of this year, we were delighted to see that both sets are working well.  Just need to decorate it and put up the rest of our decorations and then it might be time to sit down for a glass of wine and a chocolate or three.

It is now only 24 days until Christmas Day - how did this year go by so quickly?  Time to think about the REAL meaning of Christmas - as Christians, that for us is about Jesus and how His coming changed the world.  This is what we believe, and I make no apology for the fact that my Blips will celebrate that fact throughout December.

“The Christmas most people celebrate
is not the way God intended it
          to be celebrated.
We have commercialised it,
     super-sized it,
           downgraded it,
                and for most people,
ignored the real meaning of Christmas.”
