Marjorie's ramblings

Very tempting

Today was my first proper outing, as opposed to going to hospital appointments. It was the annual Christmas do for the Haltwhistle Walkers. Nearly 100 packed into the Comrades Club where we had a buffet lunch of sandwiches, pastries and cakes. There was even fresh fruit!

The weather was atrocious so only 40 people did the short walk before lunch.

It was great to see everyone. Arth was terrified that he would be knocked. It was very tricky to keep him comfortable.

The awards were good fun. The Golden Flipper Award, for the wettest walk of the year was keenly contested! I was on the Windiest Walk which was scary on the day. Our friend BJ, from California, was awarded a certificate as Purveyor of Fine Chocolate, which she always brings to share.

I have two friends who were expecting potentially serious medical news today. All we can do is hope for good outcomes for them.

Great news that Kendall does not need a knee replacement.
