Gorse and a Sunrise

Walking to locations to capture the sunrise gives me a better appreciation of how the clouds move and develop around the period of night into day.  I reckon it is a pretty turbulent period as the warming affect of the sun hitting the earth's surface.  This image is a case in point.  Fifteen minutes earlier there was hardly a break in the cloud to the east but as the sun rose, admittedly behind a bank of cloud, breaks began to appear and just a minute or so after the sun rose, the situation was a lot different.  The other day, what had looked a promising sunrise became quite flat as the clouds literally melted away as the sun was about to rise.

After the walk it was off to the supermarket and then a visit to friends for lunch.
