Brunch

The tumble dryer has now been repaired. He thought at first that it was the motor, but they very rarely fail. He took the machine to pieces and the problem was a sock! Neither he nor I knew how it got in the workings of the machine.
 
Once the repair man had left, we went into Bishop’s Stortford today although we did not need to purchase much, but ended up with my shopping trolley full of stuff including more wrapping paper. We had breakfast in Café Thyme where today’s picture was taken; the extra is my banana and Nutella cake. We did a little shopping and had time for coffee in Waterstones before catching our train home.
 
Once home I wrapped presents, but still have more to do tomorrow. I also have to my husband’s car with fuel and then on Monday, very early I will shop with my daughter to get the final perishable goods. Then only my nails to polish and I am done.

Yesterday was the shortest day, so it is downhill all the way to Spring now. The weather today was very Spring-like, sunny and not too cold; I did not need hat or gloves unlike last Saturday when is was below freezing for most of the day until it rained.
