Nicky and her Nikon

A beautiful sky

Adam arrived home last night by train and was planning on going back today by train, but he had so much stuff to take with him, including his skis (for training at the snow dome) that in the end Gavin decided to drive him back.

But first we had a wonderful lunch at a gastro pub and then went to school as Thomas wanted to give Adam a tour of the newly completed Science Centre. The school's science centre was Victorian and was in dire need of an upgrade so it has been a big project of fund raising and clever financial structuring (Gavin was very involved in all of this on the school's behalf) and finally, the new science centre is now complete and opened this term. Thomas only gets to benefit from two terms of these wonderful facilities - and Adam wishes he had the use of them in his time at the school! There will be an official opening by a famous scientist (who I have never heard of!) in March but in the meantime the students are able to use the labs and class rooms.

Gavin then set off for Cambridge with Adam and I went home by myself - but first I stopped to take a photo when I saw this colourful sunset developing.

It's going to be quite a week this week - both Adam and Thomas have some important things on this week, the Brexit vote on Tuesday, Thomas' 18th birthday on Thursday...let's hope all goes well.
