In Between Showers

Every hopeful as I turned up at the supermarket first thing this morning I looked skyward and was pleasantly surprised to see some gaps in the clouds as the first hints of dawn appeared.  

Unfortunately, by the time I came out it was raining.

Heading home at this time of year is generally towards the rising sun so when I saw this patch of light I made a short detour for a photo opportunity.  This was as good as it got and I was again shielding the lens from the start of another rain shower as I took the image.
