Spring Is Coming! said the Red-winged Blackbird

I've got my wheels back, and oh, how awesome life is. So this week, I've been returning to the places I've missed, the ones I can't get to so easily by bus. We'd had a hard frost overnight, and temps in the morning in the low 20s. I spotted frost crystals on my drive to work, and knew just where I needed to go: Millbrook Marsh!

The red-winged blackbirds are back, with their loud song, their midnight-black feathers, and their fancy red and yellow epaulets. The message they seemed to be bringing is that spring is springing at the Marsh! (There's one more photo in the extras: a picture of reflections on the run.)

My soundtrack song is a tune for a fine and lovely morning: the Racals, with A Beautiful Morning.
