Mountain ponies near Castell Bach, Ceredigion

Coastal walk Cwmtydu to New Quay.

Drove from Glifach to New Quay.
Parked one car.
Drove the other car out of New Quay.
Several miles later, stopped to look at map.
Car failed to start. "Petrol in wrong part of tank".

Waited until car started, drove back to New Quay.
Asked about petrol, was told pump was located at Synod Inn, where we'd just come from.
Drove back. Garage closed because Sunday.


Drove to Cwmtydu down a series of steep roads.
Parked car. Had some Italian ice cream.
Sun shining. Felt better.

Cwmtydu as lovely as remembered.
Walked back to New Quay over clifftops
passing Iron Age hillfort, Castell Bach
Failed to see Fulmars

Adored the aroma of gorse blossom
Sea as green, in places, as in Greece
Progress somewhat hampered by parties complaining of mud, and heights

Arrived at last at New Quay. Tea and Welsh cakes
View over town beach
New Quay, Ceredigion, I shall return!
