The Sunlight breaks through
I made an elementary mistake this morning, forgetting to pack the ND graduated filters for this sunrise shoot. Fortunately, in this day and age, there is more than one way to ensure you've captured a scene's data even with such a wide dynamic range. So there I was bracketing exposures so I could make an image when I got back home.
The sun only made its first appearance a good half an hour after sunrise should have started and even then it was a relatively brief visit. All the clouds in the scene had spread from the east while I was standing there. Before that time the sky above was clear, save for some high cirrus cloud.
