Hollywood comes to Elm Hill

As you know, Elm Hill is everyone's favourite street in Norwich. How could it not be with its cobbled winding street and period buildings so well preserved. I've blipped it many times.

Well, it is closed from 1st to 10th June while big movie makers move in to film a Netflix original, I think called Jingle Jangle. Directed or produced by John Legend and starring Forest Whitaker, they want Elm Hill for some of the scenes. I walked through today, and took photos of the team removing all the modern aspects, and adding Victorian charm. Here they are putting up a big yellow street lamp. The shops have already had a makeover, and there is now a grocers, a butcher's and newsagent with more to come. We won't be allowed anywhere near next week, as all the roads surrounding it are closed, but I've added some extras so that you get a feel for the transformed back in time Elm Hill!

Have been very tired today - well all week - so glad to leave at 4. Need to be more alert on my drive home today as I scared myself yesterday, very nearly dropping off. I know what everyone will say, but what can I do? I have to get to work, and I have to work 5 days. Its an hour to get in. All I can do is try and go to bed earlier. Definitely my plan for tonight. Although once I was home yesterday I did manage week 3 day 1 run. Not fun, but done.

Looking forward to a restful weekend, as I can feel one of those headaches coming on :(
