First Strawberries

There aren't going to be many, but I picked these today. A brief walk to the allotment this evening, where I found all the new French beans I planted Saturday, and thought I'd protected with netting, had been eaten or pulled up, I guess by rabbits. The fence has large holes all along it, so everything can get in. I'm fighting a losing battle. I watered the sweet corn (half seem ok, half dead) and fed Minnie (who hadn't laid an egg!!)

Now I'm watching long lost family, and am ready for bed. I feel very tired, so need a proper early night.
