Happy Birthday Claire

Today we spent a magical day on the broads celebrating with Claire, Nick and their family and closest friends. It is unbelievable that this lovely lady is 60 today! Most of our friends will remember Nick and Claire from our Wandlebury days, as they were Jon's rangers who were made redundant with him. They then took over from Jon on the Magog Downs when he made the full time move to Norfolk 2 years ago. Today we enjoyed a trip on 'The Mississippi' from Horning towards Great Yarmouth and back. Lovely weather and great views, along with many other folk out on the water - well it was the perfect weather for it. They were staying in a nice pub - The Swan - overlooking the river, and hopefully will continue their celebrations tonight. After the boat trip we had a beautiful buffet lunch in a small cafe in the village, the champagne on the green afterwards (see my extra of Claire with her brother Bob doing the honours!) We were kept entertained by 3 year old twins Jessica and David, who are the children of another of Jon's rangers. It was lovely to get back together again. This team had such a strong bond when they worked together. Such a shame it wasn't appreciated my their managers.

A lovely day in all - and now we are home and shattered - and not sure why, as we haven't really done anything!
