Life in Sunny Dubai

The dreaded day arrived and we tried to be prepared for it. It really is not easy being in a caravan type home when it is very hot outside.

G informed me she had been up most of the night, unwell. I had no idea so must have slept very well! Anyway, she took the day very easy. I tried to be quiet and not make any noise, which was hard because I wanted to get the place ready for the weekend.

The Wonersh church we go to when we are here have a weekly get together called Tea at Three. It's just a small group of people who get to meet others and have some tea and cake. Today's cake was expertly made by Chris's wife Marian. It was delicious!

As we were out and, we decided to visit Margaret's grave. Chris gave us directions on how to get to the cemetery and where to look once we got there. It took us a while, but we found the site. It's so sad. We only met Margaret in the summer of 2016, but she became a big part of our visiting here in a very short time. It was actually quite hard coming over knowing we won't be seeing her again.

The rest of the day was spent trying to keep as cool as possible. Another record-breaking day for temperatures across Europe and here! 40degC in Germany, France and Holland, and not far off that in the UK. Unbelievable!
