A view from Jeanneb

Out came the sun

and the butterflies.
Such a change from yesterday, windy but warm. I walked up the village to post some cards and perhaps find a blip. On my way back I passed a white Budleia with a Painted Lady and a White but they were far too fleet. So when I got home I went look at our Budleias. The white one seems to have expired after being cut back but on one of the purple ones this Peacock was feasting and enjoying the sun so it had to be this for my blip as apart from a very early Comma it’s the first I’ve been able to photograph.

Spent a couple of hours gardening after lunch. It was most pleasant with the breeze. Chris has now cut the grass and I’ve come in for a cuppa and a rest!
So glad the weather has improved, I think the front from yesterday was a day earlier than originally suggested, as daughter Grace, John and Eda have taken their new tent to South Wales for the weekend. It is their 6th wedding anniversary today. Happy anniversary to them. Eda seems to be well settled in after helping with the tent erection!
