The Long Drive

After picking up the monsters from school at lunchtime the four of us headed off down south.
Butterfly's Christening is on Sunday but we headed off early so that the monsters and Butterfly could have a day playing together.

The drive down was a real marathon with really heavy, slow traffic - not helped by a couple of breakdowns and accidents as well as roadworks - and some lunatics who were just accidents looking for a location.
The trip took an hour and a half longer than usual, but the monsters were really good …. Squirrel even managed a couple of hours sleep - slightly more than SWMBO who was not feeling very well.
However, we arrived safely.
